No! We know how hectic and expensive the end of year gets, so we don’t add to the stress or put pressure on young performers.
The last class of every term is a presentation class where families can watch in the studio. Please limit family members to two to three per family due to limited space.
Presentation classes are informal and a supportive, friendly way for young dancers to experience performing their dances. There is no pressure, make-up or expensive costumes. Gumnut Dance supplies all costumes and props at minimal or no charge to families.
We welcome children of all levels of ability and it doesn’t matter if your child has little or no dance experience. Our teachers work with each child to help them enjoy and gain the most out of their classes.
For the Spinning level we prefer comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Please avoid sundresses, long skirts or clothing that will be a distraction.
We encourage all children to wear ballet shoes for support, but understand this might be a bit tricky for our littlest Gumnuts. We sell ballet shoes at reception.
Further dress requirements apply for all other levels, you can read them here.
Your child does not need to wear our full dress code for their trial! they are welcome to wear any clothes that are comfortable for them to move in and socks/bare feet.
Please bring a water bottle for your child, with their name clearly labelled.
Please arrive 5 minutes before class to settle your child. If you can’t make it, please contact us via text (0438863144) or email (info@gumnutdance.com.au).
